New Horizons: Detroit

New Horizons is a creative blend between classic shows like Mike Rowe’s Dirty Jobs, On the Road with Charles Kuralt, and American pickers (what we dub the ‘on the go’ style reality series); mixed with the futurism and technology of works like Altered Carbon and The Matrix - except unlike those fictionalized worlds, everything we show really exists in the world today!

In this reality series, our host Brad Waid - former educator, now student - is in search of the most groundbreaking and innovative products in the marketplace today. With an increasingly divided world grounded in ‘if it bleeds it leads’ journalism, we often ask ourselves questions like “Where is the good news?”, or “Isn’t there anything good happening?” New Horizons aims to answer those questions. We want to share incredible stories of people and products that are actively changing the world we live in for the better - and they’re right in our backyard! There are amazing things happening out there - we’ve seen them firsthand! Now, we believe it’s time for the rest of the world to see that as well.
